Four inconspicuous grooves in the barrel, at the height of the chamber, contain the mounting. The barrel is still fully buoyant. No further modifications to the rifle are required and there are no complex mounts that can interfere with the view or appearance of the rifle.

1. The BLASER mount is placed in the barrel slots with the mount levers open.
   
2. There is no need for tools to put the levers into position. This releases the tension between the mount and the barrel. To prevent the locking levers from interfering with the use of the rifle, they fold inward.
   
3. The scope is correctly mounted and the rifle is ready to fire. The BLASER mount can be removed and replaced as many times as desired, without having to put it back into range.
