The developers at Aimpoint have designed this scope for professional shooters in two sizes : the small one is ideal for compact firearms or short action rifles, and the second one for more powerful rifles or Magnums . Both models can be mounted on any standard 30mm ring.
Regarding the size, the Hunter H30 S has a length of 197 mm , while the Hunter H30 L reaches 229 mm . The weight is similar in both sizes, since the short size visor weighs 225 grams and the long one 238 grams.

Both models are made of high resistance semi-matt black aluminum, which allows this visor to be protected in multiple aspects:

- Shock Resistance – This Swedish-made red dot has protection against shocks coming from all kinds of directions.
