In conversations with our customers and in direct exchange with experienced hunters, we discover how we can improve our products even further. Leica Sport Optics has taken the successful Magnus scope series to the next level. The Magnus models of the second generation are very reliable, flexible companions for any demanding hunter and offer sharp, crystal-clear images. The Magnus i line of scopes offers the right solution for all types of hunting, from hunted hunts to long-range hunting.

The world through the eyes of Leica
What makes Leica scopes so special is their superior field of view. Combined with effective stray light suppression, excellent transmission and maximum contrast for brilliant images, it ensures confident target identification in any situation, even when conditions are difficult.
Forget about annoying keyhole effects when it really matters. The extremely wide field of view provides subjectively greater image brightness than smaller fields of view, and the larger field of view of the Magnus i gives you a safer hunting experience. The greater magnification range guarantees a huge spectrum of application and makes the Magnus i the best scope for any type of hunting. The Magnus 1.5 - 10x42 i, for example, is the perfect companion for hunts, stalking and hunting from a high seat, as well as for mountain hunting.
At the same time, high technical demands had to be met to produce the Magnus i series, ensuring uncompromising quality and 100% reliability, offering you maximum flexibility and precision for both close-up and distance shooting.
Functionality and ease of use are among the most important aspects of product development. This is where Leica combines years of experience with technological innovation, with the result that the Leica Magnus i series of scopes allows you to hunt safely even in unfavorable light conditions.
This is ensured by the exceptionally precise adjustment mechanism that regulates the illuminated spot. The sensitive brightness control has a day/night setting and is adjustable in 60 microsteps. With the long press function, you can cycle through the entire range and save the last brightness setting. In addition, the intelligent auto on/off function of the reticle significantly extends battery life by turning off the illumination when it is not needed, for example, in an inappropriate shooting position.
The challenge of developing the perfect light spot lies in finding the balance between "as small as possible" and "significantly large." Leica has found the solution with a very small luminous spot that is so fine that it only minimally covers the lens, but at the same time is clearly visible due to its sharpness. For the reticles, Leica relies on a technology known as "phase gratings," in which nanostructures are etched into the glass that shape light very effectively. This is how you maintain the critical overview and always identify every important detail - for a successful hunt.
Thanks to the multi-layer plasma coatings of the lenses, Leica achieves natural color fidelity and exceptional light transmission. During manufacturing, the lenses are coated with layers of plasma just a few nanometers thick that are evaporated in a vacuum using a high-temperature plasma process. All lenses are made exclusively from glass from highly respected manufacturers, for minimal absorption.
All scopes offer particularly low vignetting, for maximum light gathering capacity, especially at low magnifications.
Leica has extraordinary expertise in stray light suppression. For the simulation of stray light and reflection, Leica uses its own software. Optimizing lens distances, diameters and radii, as well as the precise placement of light traps and deflectors, have always been important elements in the development and manufacturing of Leica riflescopes and binoculars for imaging. crisp and clear.
Maximum contrast means: black is black and not dark gray; the white is white and not light gray. High resolution optics can only realize their true potential with maximum contrast. Thanks to a combination of stray light suppression, a selection of superior glass types and bold, extreme lens shapes, Leica creates fantastic contrast that gives you precise and detailed images, even in low light.
