CONSTRUCTION AND CHASSIS
The frame material of these binoculars is magnesium, which makes them strong and resistant, but not excessively heavy. In fact, they have a very good balance, making them have enough weight to be easy to stabilize, but they are not so heavy that they cause fatigue when used continuously. On the other hand, they are not excessively bulky either, which helps their carrying in multiple ways, since being articulated they can fold on themselves. This last characteristic, together with the diameter of the lenses, determines the width of the tubes, which cannot be excessively voluminous.
They have a very high resistance to the harshest treatment, something essential in equipment intended for practicing outdoor activities. It is really difficult for them to suffer any damage, due to an accidental fall or humidity problems.
Their studied ergonomics make them feel very pleasant to hold, this is helped by their rubber coating, with some strategic rough areas to guarantee grip with wet hands. A cover that also has protective functions and mitigates possible movements on clothing, thanks to the brake provided by the rubbing of the rubber on it. In addition, noise is avoided as a result of knocking with other metal parts of the equipment.
All ENGAGE models have a standard tripod adapter.

EYE CUPS, DIOPTRIES AND FOCUSING
One of the smartest features of these binoculars is the diopter correction lock. Rectifying them is usually somewhat tedious, but with this function they can be fixed without fear of them becoming out of adjustment. There is no need to worry about someone knocking them over and ruining your selection. The operation is simple, you just have to pull the eyepieces, make the correction and press in again to lock. For focusing, there is a central wheel with a very good touch and resistance, which allows quick and precise selection.

GLASSES
In this aspect, the protection technology for the lenses, called “EXO Barrier”, stands out. It is a coating developed by Bushnell, which molecularly adheres to the lens and fills the microscopic pores in the glass. The result is an ultra-slick coating that repels water, oil, fog, dust and other particles. Rain, snow, fingerprints and dirt won't stick either. Logically, this treatment also helps keep the binoculars clean and therefore will allow you to maintain clear vision even with intense use.
Another of its most notable aspects are the extra-low dispersion (ED) “Prime Glass” lenses and the use of a dielectric coating for the prisms. The light transmission of the BaK-4 type prism is improved by using this type of coating, instead of a metallic mirror. This causes its surfaces to act as a dielectric mirror. Dielectric prisms produce high reflectivity, great color, amazing resolution and fantastic details, even in the twilight hours. Likewise, they allow a light transmission of 92%, generating brilliant images. They also have a PC3 Phase coating, which improves resolution and contrast. The consequence of all this is that ENGAGE binoculars provide precise viewing, whatever the environmental circumstance.
Also the depth of field in these binoculars is exceptional. Being able to keep an eye on what's happening outside of your main objective, which is a really rare feature. Finally, note that the lenses of the ENGAGE binoculars are made with ecological, lead-free glass and are completely waterproof, meeting the IPX7 military certification.

ACCESSORIES
Bushnell has increased the number of accessories included with the binoculars. The packaging has been noticeably improved and has included an outer Cordura carry bag, a smaller protective pouch, which also doubles as a lens cleaning cloth. Along with the protective bags, Bushnell provides rubber lens covers for both the front and rear lenses. Both are easy to put on and take off. To keep the binoculars within easy reach, a durable and comfortable padded strap, printed with the brand name, is also included.
