MODULAR OPTIONS

1. Adjustable cheek pad

The multi-level adjustable cheek piece is operated intuitively without the need for tools – thanks to its memory function – and ensures a perfect fit in any situation. With this system, the cheek piece can be adjusted to individual body proportions or different optical equipment in a matter of seconds.

2. Recoil Absorption System (RAS)

The recoil-absorbing buttplate attaches quickly and easily and is designed to provide a pleasant shooting experience – even with large calibers. The internal absorption elements are available with different degrees of hardness, which can be adjusted to the shooter's preferences and significantly reduce muzzle rise when shooting.

3. Adjustable butt pad (ARP)

The ability to adjust the length, weight and angle of the butt plate offers a variety of practical benefits. It can be quickly and easily adjusted for different pulls or, depending on weather conditions, for different clothing items.

ACCURATE

• Precise BLASER trigger: the desmodronic trigger mechanism guarantees 100% hunting success. Even if it is frozen or dirty, the trigger system works in a controlled manner and will operate in the most adverse conditions. The 900g trigger turns your thought into action.
• BLASER mount: the barrel and the mount form a precision unit: the notches on the top of the barrel, directly above the breech, ensure with their floating barrel, a constant point of impact.
• Optimum barrel bedding: The large barrel bedding in the robust housing ensures greater shooting accuracy after changing the barrel. Deformation of the stock due to extreme weather never influences the position of the barrel.
• BLASER radial locking system: balance and precision: the robust concentric locking system locks directly on the barrel without rotating movements. 14 locking points provide 360-degree closure.
• Cocked Barrel and Chamber: Accuracy and Durability: The barrel and chamber are cold cocked on most calibers. The barrel and chamber are perfectly concentric.
• Perfect stock design: Relaxed hand position promotes precision. Anatomically shaped Blaser stocks provide ideal grip. The thumbhole stocks of the R8 Success models go even further: thanks to a completely relaxed posture of the wrist and arm, shooting accuracy is considerably increased in any shooting position.

SURE

• Manual cocking system: For decades, Blaser's manual cocking system has been a benchmark. It is known as one of the safest in the world. No mechanical system offers the security of a relaxed mainspring. The R8 is cocked just before firing. If it does not fire, simply depress the cocking lever to decock the rifle again.
• Protection against unauthorized use: If the trigger-magazine group of the R8 is not on the rifle, the cocking lever will not be able to be set in the cocked position. Therefore this is the best protection against unauthorized use!
• No unintentional opening: If the R8 is decocked and the bolt is engaged, the bolt lever is locked. To safely open the bolt, simply move the cocking lever forward slightly (approx. 3mm/1.8"") while pulling the bolt lever back.

RELIABLE

• Quick disassembly - easy cleaning: The R8 can be disassembled and reassembled in seconds. The R8 can be easily cleaned of snow, dirt, leaves and tree needles at all times.
• Controlled trigger system: maximum reliability - even if it gets very icy or dirty, the R8's trigger system continues to work.
• Magazine lock: The R8 magazine is only unlocked by pressing both springs at the same time. Activating the charger or having it fall unintentionally is practically impossible. Additionally, a tab located on the magazine allows the magazine springs to be locked.
• Excellent protection: The R8's shell construction prevents the entry of foreign objects. When the magazine is outside the rifle, a protective cap protects it from dirt. All metal parts are made of corrosion-resistant materials or are protected against corrosion. The inside of the barrel and breech are burnished and require only conventional care.

FAST

• Linear repetition system: consecutive shots with great speed and a relaxed posture: the bolt lever is in a very ergonomic position on the trigger guard. The rifle and eye are aimed at the target to buy time and ensure a perfect shot.
• ""Blind"" magazine change: the magazine release springs can be activated ""blind"" due to their perfect positioning on the trigger guard. By pressing both buttons at the same time, the magazine is released directly into your hand. A second magazine can be quickly inserted without looking.
• Double loading possibility: the R8 can be loaded and unloaded in two ways: with the magazine removed or inserted into the rifle. With the bolt open, cartridges are also quickly and easily reloaded or unloaded from above.

• Short Design: The R8 magazine over trigger design allows the overall length of the R8 to be significantly shorter than any conventional bolt-action rifle.
