Waterproofing and breathability - 5,000/3,000
Resistance to water penetration is measured in "millimeters of water column pressure". The water column pressure is measured by placing a liquid column gauge on the material, so that material with a resistance to water penetration of 5,000mm can resist water from a five meter (5,000mm) meter. . Material with 10,000mm water penetration resistance can resist 10 meter (10,000mm) meter water etc. The MVP value indicates the breathability of a membrane. The MVP value is an expression of the amount of water vapor that can escape through one square meter of a membrane in 24 hours. Therefore, a breathable product with a value of 5,000 can "breathe" 5,000 g (5 litres) of water vapor per square meter in 24 hours.

DEER-TEX® Performance Shell
