Windtech products are usually outer garments or accessories that serve as a first layer of protection against the elements. They are designed using air-permeable materials, such as knits and polar fabrics, which are laminated to the Windtech membrane, which gives them their windproof function. The high versatility of Windtech fleece fabric provides greater comfort in a wide spectrum of temperatures and activity levels.
Freudenberg Performance Materials' innovative Comfortemp® padding is the world's first textile insulator made from small balls composed of individual but interconnected fibers. The insulation properties are 50 to 80 percent better than conventional padding. Thermal retention is comparable to that of down. The padding is made up of multiple multifiber balls that form countless air cavities in the material. This leads to a high degree of breathability and thermal insulation. The small air pockets between the numerous fiber balls guarantee a high and constant thermal capacity. Garments with Comfortemp® fiberball filling do not need to be retained in cells or bands that act as containers. This allows for much greater design freedom. This washable and quick-drying high-performance padding is very lightweight and offers excellent levels of insulation as well as optimal breathability. This is because the balls of fibers that give the product its name create a special pore structure. The garments that equip this insulation provide us with great wearing comfort and an extremely soft and fluffy feeling.
H-AIR fleece knit technology provides a high degree of insulation. Mapping the body and the characteristics of each area, H-AIR technology uses different levels of fibers (High/Medium/Light) to achieve the perfect balance between insulation, breathability and comfort. It is perfect for use in garments that need to provide extra warmth when temperatures are cool. The H-AIR fleece fabric is constructed with a special blend of fibers that give it a wool-like effect. This fabric is specially processed to produce a rich vigoré effect finish on the outside and a cozy, warm brushed surface on the inside.
