After initial pairing, the remote controls up to 5 Tactacam 5.0 or Fish-i cameras with a single button. Functions include power on, auto record, pause and power off, and when not recording conserves batteries with the auto power off feature. All cameras and remote control will turn off after 3 minutes when not recording. But don't worry, they'll all turn back on just as quickly with a simple press of the button on the Tactacam remote.
Tactacam Remote technology gives you the information you need, all on one LCD screen: Number of cameras connected, recording duration, remote battery life, and the green LED indicates recording, pause/activate, and off.
Tactacam Remote has been optimized to 100ft, giving you the distance and control over your cameras.
Note: Tactacam Remote is only compatible with Tactacam 5.0 and Fish-i cameras.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
To get started, connect your Tactacam 5.0 or Fish-i and the remote control.
- Turn on the camera and remote control, and pause them
- On the camera, with two fingers place one on the mode button and the other on the power/record button.
- Do the following within 2 seconds (press and hold the mode button followed by the power/record button). You will see the remote connection number increase by 1 number. If this is the first camera synced, a 1 will appear on the remote.
Once you have paired your Tactacam 5.0 or Fish-i with the Tactacam Remote, the remote will operate your camera from the OFF position. When you press the button on the remote control, the linked Tactacam 5.0 or Fish-i camera(s) will turn on and start recording.
Flashing green LED light on controller and cameras indicates recording is in progress. The duration of the recording is also displayed on the controller screen.
To stop recording, just press the record button on the remote control. All connected Fish-i and 5.0 cameras will stop and save their recording.
At this time, you can perform 3 operations. 1 Press to start all recording, 2 Press and hold to turn off all cameras and controller or 3 nothing... all units will turn off after 3 minutes to optimize battery life. But don't worry, they'll all turn back on just as quickly with a simple press of the button on the Tactacam remote.
